IT services for restaurants and bars in Mallorca
In a restaurant the network cannot fail at the worst moment, which is always the same one: a full service. We build the installation so the working side runs on its own path and customer WiFi stays out of its way.
When the network drops at half past two
Plenty of venues run on the provider router plus a repeater or two. With an empty room it works fine. With a full dining room, a busy terrace and dozens of customer phones connected, the same network the working terminals use starts slowing down or cutting out.
The working network, on its own path
We separate the traffic: the network staff use to work runs apart from the one you offer customers, so a room full of connected people does not affect service. And we measure real coverage, including the terrace and outdoor areas, which are almost always the forgotten ones.
What it includes
- Coverage survey of dining room, kitchen, bar and terrace
- Customer network separated from the working network
- Access points sized for real capacity
- Cabling to fixed points that should not run over WiFi
- Router, firewall and access control configuration
- Documentation of the installation and the passwords
- Maintenance with remote support for the day to day
How we work in hospitality
- 1
Visit outside service
We come to see the venue at a time that does not get in the way, measure coverage and look at where cabling can run.
- 2
Proposal at a fixed price
We tell you what is needed, where each piece of equipment would go and what it costs, with no surprises afterwards.
- 3
Installation on closing days
We work on closing days or between services wherever possible, so operations are not disrupted.
- 4
Testing with a full house
The real test is not an empty room. We check behaviour during service and adjust whatever needs it.
Rather talk it through?
If it is quicker to explain over the phone than to write it down, give us a call. You get a technician directly, not a salesperson who passes it on.
Frequently asked questions
Can you work without closing the restaurant?
Usually yes. We plan around closing days or the hours between services. If cable has to run through public areas, we do it at the quietest time.
Can customer WiFi affect the working terminals?
On a single shared network, yes, and it is one of the most common causes of peak-hour dropouts. Separating the networks stops customer traffic competing with the business.
Can you cover the terrace?
Yes, with outdoor-rated equipment placed where the survey says. Terraces are usually the worst-covered area because installations are planned for indoors only.
What if I already have equipment installed?
We check it first. If it is usable we reuse it; if home equipment is the source of the problem, we tell you rather than stacking another repeater on top.
Shall we find out why your network drops at peak?
The initial assessment includes a survey of the venue. No obligation, and useful even if you decide not to hire anything.
